Het Holland Festival presenteert deze coproductie van National Theatre en Emma Rice’s theatergezelschap Wise Children in samenwerking met DeLaMar op initiatief van Sismo Stories & Performances. De hoogstaande Engelstalige muziektheatervoorstelling maakt het klassieke, complexe verhaal van Emily Brontë opvallend inzichtelijk. Het is een adembenemende wraaktragedie, die waarschuwt dat onze wrede behandeling van anderen de wereld nog jarenlang zal beïnvloeden.
Wuthering Heights bevat stroboscopische effecten, lichtflitsen en rook, evenals verwijzingen naar fysiek en seksueel geweld.

Heathcliff is rescued as a child from Liverpool harbor and adopted by the Earnshaws, with whom he goes to live in the manor of Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights features strobe effects, flashes of light and smoke, as well as references to physical and sexual violence.
